Wycliffe Marende will be the referee of today’s (December 6) vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) silver strawweight title fight between South Africa’s Siyakholwa Kuse and Zimbabwe’s Beaven Sibanda at the Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.
Marende (pictured below seated far left) arrived in Johannesburg early this week for the important assignment.
The judges are Zambia’s Francis Chirwa, Zimbabwe’s Gloria Dera and South Africa’s Phumlani Ncapai with South Africa’s Phakamile Jacobs the WBC supervisor.
