Ghana’s three boxers for the World Boxing Championship have left the country heading to Dubai.

The three boxers are 2023 Tashkent Worlds quarter-finalist Amadu Mohammed (54 kg), Ebenezer Ankrah (60 kg) and Emmanuel Mawuli (57 kg).

Ghana is among the six African countries to win medals at the Men’s World Boxing Championships.

Light-welterweight Amon Kotey settled for bronze in the 1974 inaugural event in Havana, Cuba.

For all its boxing prowess especially in pro, that’s the only medal Ghana has won in the IBA global event.
