MAKABU, ATTIA TO VIE FOR WBC AFRICA CROWN IN KINSHASA

Former DR Congo’s world cruiserweight champion Junior Ilunga Makabu and Egypt’s Wagdy Attia will fight for the WBC Africa cruiserweight title today, December 21, in Kinshasa, DR Congo.

The event is promoted by Ferdinand Ilunga Luyoyo of Luyoyo Promotions and will take place at the Gymnase Jumele Stade de Martyrs.

The official weigh-in took place on December 20 with both warriors showing that they are in excellent condition. The supervisor of the fight will be the Vice President of the WBC, Houcine Houichi who is also the President of the Africa Boxing Union (ABU).
