The International Boxing Association (IBA) has officially recognized Zambian boxer Patrick Chinyemba as the world’s number one ranked amateur boxer globally in the flyweight division (48-51kg).
Chinyemba, a bronze medallist at the 2025 World Championships in Dubai, is presently in Miami, United States, where he is participating in a professional boxing training camp.
If everything goes according to plan the reigning African Games flyweight champion will turn professional.
