▪️All is however not lost for the battered and tattered African team. Ten are still remaining in the competition including quarterfinalist, Angola’s lightweight Victor Tewase

The sky over Chita did not just break; it unleashed a furious, unrelenting deluge.
What was meant to be the Eurasian Daurian Cup International Boxing Tournament instead transformed into a devastating El Niño of the ring, a tempest that ruthlessly swept away all five African boxers on a catastrophic Day 2.
The elements themselves seemed to conspire against the continent’s warriors. A biting Russian cold collided with a raging storm of leather and steel, creating a frozen gale that spared absolutely no one.
As the night grew darker, Africa’s final, flickering hope hung entirely on a single thread: Namibia’s light-middleweight Haungenya Johannes.
He stood alone against the elements, the last man braving the squall. But nature is indifferent to hope. In a terrifying display of pure, elemental power, Johannes was engulfed and dragged under by Timur Terrifying of Russia’s number-two squad.
When the thunder finally subsided, it left behind a trail of devastation. It was a pitch-black Tuesday for the African contingent, whose campaign has been utterly decimated—leaving a grim total of eight boxers on the casualty list.
All is however not lost for the battered and tattered African team. Ten are still remaining in the competition including quarterfinalist, Angola’s lightweight Victor Tewase.
